From our first consultation to hanging your wedding portraits proudly in your home, you’ll get the absolute best wedding photography experience available. I am passionate, professional, and organized… but also totally laid back. The entire experience is easygoing and stress-free. I take my work very seriously, and care so deeply about each family I am blessed to work with.
I believe wedding photography is an art. Bearing witness to and creatively capturing all the memorable moments of a wedding day is a privilege. I love everything about it!
You and your family are my top priority when photographing your wedding. I also focus on the details of your day and all the hard work you put into planning the picture perfect atmosphere and setting, but long after your wedding day is over, the photos you are going to cherish are the ones with the friends and family you love best. That hug your Grandma gave you with a tear in her eye. The pride and love on your Dad’s face as he dances with his little girl. The undeniable electricity between you and your love as you walk down the aisle as a new married couple. I want your wedding images to move you… to make you FEEL.
Your wedding images will become family heirlooms that last long after we are gone. They’ll be passed down from generation to generation and have immeasurable value to your loved ones. This is why choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions that you can make.
I am very passionate about my clients having tangible photo products from their wedding. These images and memories are too important to leave on a hard drive somewhere. How will your great grandchildren ever see your beautiful wedding day if you don’t have an album, a portrait, or prints? I’ll work with you to choose from a large product line that includes heirloom archival wedding albums, framed portraits, gallery wrapped canvases, and much much more.
Since we live in a digital world, all of my couples do receive a custom designed case and USB flash drive with their digital wedding images. This allows you to archive your memories digitally and also share your favorite wedding images easily with friends and family online. All of your images will also be on a password-protected online gallery, from which you and your family can easily order professional prints and products.
We’ll start with a chat or a meeting when it’s convenient for you. I love to invite my potential clients to my photography studio in historic Cross Plains, TN. You’ll have the chance to view entire wedding galleries, signature albums, and custom wall art… while we get to know each other.
We’ll talk about the details of your wedding that you (may) have planned so far! (I want to hear all about it!) It’s important that you feel comfortable with and trust your wedding photographer—you’ll be with them your entire wedding day.
Most couples incorporate an engagement session into their experience. If you do, we will first set a date for the shoot, and then choose a location based on your style and your dream photo shoot. (There are no restrictions like you may have on the day of your wedding!) We’ll have an awesome time capturing your love and getting you comfortable in front of the camera and working with me. You’ll then feel super confident on the day of the wedding and you’ll have beautiful portraits to show the kids someday how fun you were before you were married.
We will have another in-person or phone consultation about 2-4 weeks before your wedding and we will finalize all of the details. Those details include the portrait locations, your family formal shot list, and the timeline.
the wedding day
Your all-day, all-inclusive coverage includes 8 hours of photography on your wedding day. For most weddings, 8 hours is sufficient for comprehensive, full wedding day coverage.
(Additional hours of coverage may be purchased if you have extensive needs on your wedding day or if you’d like rehearsal coverage.)
sample wedding day timeline
Photography coverage begins with the bride’s details (wedding gown, shoes, jewelry, invitation, and any other sentimental items), followed by the final touches on the bride’s hair and makeup. Then we will photograph the bride getting into her gown surrounded by her beautiful bridesmaids/mother of the bride. We finish by taking portraits of the bride and each bridesmaid individually and with everyone together… also any family members that may be present. We also love capturing Dad’s face when he sees his daughter for the first time in her wedding gown.
Photography coverage of the groom and his groomsmen begins. We will take some portraits of the groom as he finishes his preparation, and then we’ll photograph him and each of his groomsmen individually. A few group shots and candids conclude this coverage.

Photographers prepare for the ceremony
Wedding ceremony begins – We photograph the ceremony in a very respectful manner and try to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Formal portraits at the church. I will align everyone and take the photos, while my 2nd photographer will help organize people and assist.
This usually includes immediate families of bride and groom, bridal party, and portraits of the bride and groom at the altar
(I’d love to stress that I truly enjoy family formals and I feel that they are so so so important to have gorgeous professional photos of you and your family on your wedding day!)
